“Turn on the show – watch it go!” This could be the motto of the augmented reality presentation that aurea has designed for Schneider Electric. And it was accomplished in only 4 weeks – from the initial contact up until the start of the Interpack trade fair in Düsseldorf. Schneider Electric is a globally operating specialist in the area of energy management, with approximately 110,000 employees in over 100 countries.
“We had a certain amount of background experience, since we had already worked successfully for Schneider Electric as AR producer within the scope of the trade fair in Hanover in 2008. But that was the sum of it,” said Wolfgang Steiger from aurea. “Within only 4 weeks, which included the Easter holidays, we designed and created two 10-minute-long show units.” The show will be presented by an anchorman half-hourly and will run round the clock, as it were, without the need for supervision by technical staff.
Both shows fascinated the audience with their technical and optical allure. According to Marco Rueb, Communication Manager for Machine Solutions at Schneider Electric, the trade experts were delighted with the manner of the presentation. “Of course our products and solutions speak for themselves, but the show certainly provides additional value for our stand. Countless visitors to the trade fair were captivated by this technology. In short: with this presentation, aurea® provided the eye-catcher at Interpack.”
The M-Days 2011 really put a bright smile on people’s faces this time ...
… at least for the visitors, who really got excited about our Living Mirror in the entrance area of the Messe Frankurt Congress Center.
They were asked by our digital mirror to change the message of their speech bubbles, that suddenly showed up over their heads, just by laughing at the mirror …. and in fact they did so enthusiastically.
Queues with laughing faces at the reception desk – for sure a rather strange sight.
Our bubbles version of the Living Mirror had made it possible!

At the Voice+IP in November 2010 there was an exclusive event about Augmented Reality. Insiders, scientists and practitioners met in Frankfurt and discussed about trends and innovations.
